3 WRs the Steelers should be targeting via trade

They called about Aiyuk and Sutton and have been rebuffed, at least with opening talks. Called about DK, I don't believe a trade would get done there until after june first (if one got done at all)

Easily the most intriguing of our three options, Metcalf is a physical specimen who has two Pro Bowls to his name at only 26 years old. Carrying a heavy cap hit of $24.5m for the 2024 season, he would come with a hefty price tag that may scare teams like Pittsburgh off.

Why Seattle would even consider trading him is beyond me, but if Allbright's report is accurate and they didn't hang up right away, they are at least thinking about it. 

Option 2: Brandon Aiyuk

Probably my favorite of the potential options, Aiyuk isn't as physically dominant as Metcalf, but his game will age much more graciously and he offers exactly what Pittsburgh is missing post-Diontae Johnson trade. 

Also only 26 years old, unlike Metcalf however, Aiyuk is slated to play the 2024 season on his fifth-year option and is searching for a new deal, which is the crux of the trade rumors to begin with. 

A second-team All-Pro in 2023, Aiyuk averaged a whopping 17.9 yards per catch for the 49ers, second only to...

George Pickens.

Pairing them together would be goodnight Irene. 

Option 3: Deebo Samuel 

Another 49er WR in trade talks, it's been well-reported that Pittsburgh and San Francisco were engaged in trade talks regarding the former first-team All-Pro, but they couldn't come to terms over draft weekend. 

That all resets, as now Pittsburgh is likely to budge a little more when it comes to asking price given that the present value of last week's capital is much higher than that of the 2025 NFL Draft.
